After
graduation, I completed l year at the Pampa School of Business. Then
my former husband and I moved our family to Houston in 1962. We started a
construction company in Houston doing a lot of work for Houston Light
& Power Co. We also got involved in the Quarter Horse
business. We had several World Champion Horses and our daughter,
Tresia, won the Youth All-around at the Houston Livestock Show in 1975
& 1976.
When my former husband and I separated, he took the horses, and I kept the
property. I turned the horse operation facility into an equestrian
center that I operated for 18 years.
In 1982 I met Mr. Kind, Sweet & Wonderful, my last husband, Ed
Davis. We were married in l986 in Maui on the beach at sundown (very
romantic! huh?). Together we have 5 children, 7 1/2 grandchildren
and 1 great-grandchild. Remember, I got started very early! Ed and I
celebrated 21 years together this year.
I sold the equestrian center in 1998 and became a retired housewife.
First time in my life I haven't worked or gone to school. Ed likes
to travel, so we have been all over the world together. Between
traveling and doing things with-and-for our children and grandchildren, we
never seem to slow down.
Ed hopes to retire within the next couple of years, at which time we
should have our retirement home completed on the Guadalupe River near New
Braunfels, TX.
I wish we could attend the reunion, but we had already made other plans to
go to Barbados with Jimmie and her husband that week. Wish we had
known sooner exactly when the reunion was. We were thinking that it
was in Oct. or Nov. I know everyone is going to have a wonderful
time. We will be thinking
about all of you.
I love all the Bio's on the Internet. Hope to see everyone in 2008!
Best wishes to all!
