2003
Under the banner of William P. Gaut, Inc., I serve non profits with programs ranging from donor marketplace, feasibility and marketing research studies, marketing media and direct advertising to capital and operating fund development and donor relations. Plus, I assist in the implementation of these programs. This has been my work since 1982.

Before 1982, I worked with chambers of commerce like the chamber in Denver, Colorado, where I was Vice-President and Group Manager, Forward Metro Denver Group, the economic development arm of that chamber. Later, I became the CEO of the Springfield, Missouri, chamber growing that chamber from a budget of about $125,000 to over $1,125,000.

For over twenty-years, I have been a bank director. Because of this experience, I joined a group to create a bank. Now, I am labeled a “founding director.”

After graduating from Baylor, I served as a First Lieutenant in the USAF stationed at the headquarters of Tactical Air Command in Langley Field, Virginia. Much of my service time was spent briefing the commanders on personnel issues.

One passion I have is travel. My wife, Jeannie, and I have had the opportunity to visit parts of Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Far East, Caribbean and South America. Of course, the USA looks, feels and taste the best...it is the best.

Two sons. Joe has his Ph.D. and M.D. in neurology from Washington University, St. Louis. Bob has a degree in astrophysics from the University of Missouri, Rolla. When we get together, we talk about our golf game.

Today, as well as over the past 45 years, I let people know how extremely proud, fortunate and lucky I am to have grown up in Pampa, Texas, “Where the wheat grows and the oil flows...hang your hat on the top of Texas!”

50th Reunion Update - Aug. 2008

For me, I enjoy keeping up with Pampa happenings through the magic of the Internet. My personal stuff includes donating a kidney, touring Europe from our apartment in Rome, watching one son do his medical work at Mass General in Boston and the other grow his retail clothing business; plus, I assisted my wife through the experience of cancer surgery and treatment.
