Herman and I have been married for 22 years, and he is truly my soul mate.

I have two daughters, Debbie and Sheri.  Debbi and husband live in Burkett, Texas and have two children: Zach, 22, and Stephanie, 17.  Sheri and husband have two children: Brandon, 17, and Shelby, 9.  They live in Pampa.  They are all such a blessing to us.

My Mom is in fair health and still lives in Pampa.  We just celebrated her 87th birthday with all the family home.

I’ve worked for the Gray County Clerk’s Office for 22 years and enjoy my job.  Retirement does sound good but not for a while.

Herman and I own a tire store, and we also farm, so we stay very busy.  Come to think of it, retirement does sound good!!

We have several hobbies - camping and going to street rod shows.  We have a ’48 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery street rod and won 1st place at the 1st car show we took it to.

Last year we restored my 1930 Model A Ford Coupe that I bought in 1967.  We finished the restoration 2 days before we left for Riverside, California to the Model A Convention.  We won 1st place Excellence Award.  We competed against 300 Model A’s.  What an honor.

We’re looking forward to seeing all of my classmates.  Thanks to all that have worked so hard getting the class reunion together.

50th Reunion Update - August 2008

Has it really been 50 years since we graduated? I don’t even feel that old. It’s time for our class reunion, and this will be the first time that I’ve missed one.

In 2005 I retired from the Gray County Clerks office after 24½ years. I always loved my job working for the county and a great group of people and friends.  Herman retired in 2006 from the tire store we owned for 18 years. He misses his customers and friends like I do.

Later in 2006 we bought a place in the country between Abilene and Brownwood, TX. It’s 7 miles from our daughter Debbie and husband. We made 28 trips back and forth, both of us pulling 30’ trailers loaded with tractors, cars, trucks, furniture, storage buildings, etc., plus 2 dogs and 2 cats. That’s 56 loads of “stuff”! Maybe I did feel my age!

We have enjoyed this beautiful country and wildlife. We don’t miss the snow, ice and blizzards that we had in the panhandle. We have 2 great daughters, 4 wonderful grandchildren, 1 precious great grandson and another one on the way.

I’m a 6 year cancer survivor and feeling great. God is good. I praise Him everyday for all the blessings. We are healthy and have a healthy, loving family and lots of wonderful friends.

I’ll miss each one of you. Thank you for all the work you have done on the website and the organization of the reunion.

Hopefully we’ll be getting a computer soon so we can keep in touch.

Love to all-
