When my son left home he took my guitar and golf clubs.  But that was all right because he played them better than I did.  He and his wife, Monica, gave Shirley and me three grandsons: Reece, Lucas and Tyler. 

I have had no note-worthy accomplishments.  I’ve worked for the US Postal Service for 30 years, and retirement is getting near. 

God loves all mankind: rich, poor, famous and the not so famous.  My life can best be summed up with the following:

Fame and fortune I did not find,

For these I did not seek.

I sought for hope and peace of mind,

But each path was a dead end street.

To and fro without success,

Then one day pursuing,

God’s love overtook me,

Namely JESUS CHRIST,

That for which I sought, took me by surprise.

I have found for me,

Hope and peace outside of Christ does not exist.

He has blessed me abundantly,

I trust you too have found, or will find

Peace with God through Jesus Christ.
